Steuben County Department of Social Services Collaborative Programs

Steuben County Department of Social Services (DSS) Collaborative Programs serve children who are at imminent risk of out-of-home placement and their families (requires a referral from the Steuben County DSS).

Family Interactions

This program provides visitation services for non-custodial parents of children in foster care in a safe and secure, home-like atmosphere that promotes positive relationships to work toward reuniting families whenever possible. The program operates in collaboration with the Steuben County Department of Social Services.

Youth WRAP

Pathways, Inc. provides intensive services for youth throughout Steuben County through the Youth Wrap Around Alternative Program (WRAP). This program works with individuals referred by the Steuben County Department of Social Services (DSS). Services provided may be either preventative or transitional and are meant to provide short-term services in order for the child to remain at home and be successful. The program also helps youth who have been in placement with transition back with their families and communities, as well as to their home schools. For those transition cases, services can begin while the youth is still in placement, in order to help prepare parents for their child’s return to the home.
