Pathways, Inc. is actively recruiting Resource (Foster) Parents for the Agency’s Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC) Program. The TFC Program serves youth and families in the Finger Lakes, Southern Tier, and Western New York Regions. This program serves children and youth ranging from birth to 21 years of age who have serious emotional difficulties, complex medical issues, and/or developmental disabilities. The TFC Program is committed to keeping sibling groups intact through foster care placement.

Corning, NY—February 3, 2020—Pathways, Inc. is actively recruiting Resource (Foster) Parents for the Agency’s Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC) Program. The TFC Program serves youth and families in the Finger Lakes, Southern Tier, and Western New York Regions. This program serves children and youth ranging from birth to 21 years of age who have serious emotional difficulties, complex medical issues, and/or developmental disabilities. The TFC Program is committed to keeping sibling groups intact through foster care placement.

The TFC Program is looking for Resource Parents that would like to provide a temporary home, guidance, and support to children and youth in these communities. The TFC Program is approved by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services and is dedicated to supporting our Resource Parents by enabling them to provide intense support and care to youth within the program. Resource Parents are provided with ongoing training on a variety of topics to assist them in caring for the youth. Our knowledgeable staff is equipped to provide continuous support for working with emotionally disturbed and developmentally disabled children, adolescents, and families. Our mission is to provide quality care, treatment, and services to youth and families within the program.

Support Services include:

•               Case Management and Supportive Counseling for Youth and Families
•               Service Planning
•               Independent Living Skills and Youth Advocacy Training
•               Coordinate and Facilitate Family Time
•               Support, Supervision, and Training for Resource Parents
•               After-Care Services and Support

The TFC Program promotes a team approach to foster care to achieve the permanency planning goal of strengthening the family unit and reuniting the youth and family whenever possible or assisting the youth in the adoption process, and/or connecting youth to permanency resources and alternative planned living arrangements.
