Pathways, Inc. Recognizes Exceptional Staff Member as Employee of the Quarter

March 20, 2018—Pathways, Inc. employee, Christie Glick has been recognized as Employee of the First Quarter for her exceptional service to the organization, and advocacy for youth receiving care through the Children’s Health Home Care Management Program.

Each quarter Pathways, Inc. identifies an employee that exemplifies the Agency’s mission, vision, philosophy, and values by going above and beyond the normal scope of his/her job responsibilities. In addition to her normal job responsibilities as a Children’s Health Home Care Manager, Christie Glick focuses on literacy development with each of her families. She brings a handpicked book for each child, including siblings who aren’t enrolled in the program with her on home visits. Having strong reading skills has been seen as an indicator for great success as an adult in life. Through reading Christie is also able to empower parents to connect with their children to build attachments and decrease the likelihood of a higher level of care.

Children’s Health Home Care Management is a group of service and health care providers working together to make sure children and youth get the care they need to improve their physical, social, and/or behavioral health. Children from birth to age 21 who are enrolled in Medicaid and have two or more chronic health conditions or one single qualifying condition of HIV/AIDS, Serious Emotional Disturbance, or Complex Trauma could benefit from this level of care management. Pathways, Inc. can work with the youth/family to determine if the youth is eligible.
