Steuben County Dept. of Social Services Collaborative Programs

Pathways, Inc. works in collaboration with the Steuben County Department of Social Services (DSS) to provide additional mental health services for families. These programs require referrals from Steuben County DSS and they include:

Family Interactions (Supervised Visitation)
This program provides visitation services for non-custodial parents of children in foster care in a safe and secure, home-like atmosphere that promotes positive relationships to work toward reuniting families whenever possible. The program operates in collaboration with the Steuben County Department of Social Services. For more information, please contact our Associate Executive Director at (607) 937-3200.

Family Preservation
Pathway’s Family Preservation Program is designed to offer immediate and short-term preventative services to families at risk of having a child or children placed into foster care. Family members partner with family preservation workers, 1-3 days per week, for up to 12 weeks. Meetings are scheduled at times that are convenient for the family members and for the family preservation worker. These meetings take place in the family’s home or community.

Youth WRAP Around Alternative
This program provides a community-based, family focused, comprehensive wrap around delivery of services to youth deemed to be at high risk of placement outside of their home and/or community. Service plans are based on the identified strengths and needs of the family. In-home Services offered include family education and support groups; crisis support; hourly respite; individual, family and group therapy; and social skills training, activities and opportunities. This program is a collaborative effort between Steuben County Department of Social Services and Pathways, Inc.
