PATHWAYS, INC. HOSTS DISABILITY AWARENESS EVENT
National Disability Awareness Week is designated as October 19 - 25. This year Pathways, Inc. will host a Disability Awareness event on Thursday, October 22 from noon to 6 p.m. at the Arnot Mall. The event will include six other local agencies along with The Museum of disABILITY History, a project of People Inc., which is dedicated to the collection, preservation, and display of artifacts pertaining to the history of people with disabilities. The museum will display materials of interest and share a presentation at 3 p.m. titled Moving Forward, Looking Back, followed by a question and answer session. Joining Pathways and the museum will be AIM, The Center for Disability Rights, Cerebral Palsy of Chemung County, Chemung ARC, Schuyler ARC, and Steuben ARC. Together we will be promoting the awareness of disabilities in our communities. Please join us in celebrating National Disability Awareness Week.
