Kids’ Adventure Youth Give Stuffed Animals to Children in Need

On Thursday, March 13, 2009, Pathways’ Kids’ Adventure Club delivered over 350 stuffed animals to Catholic Charities of Chemung County. The youth have spent the last month collecting the stuffed animals for local youth in need. “The stuffed animals will be distributed to families seeking assistance in a number of our programs, including Second Place East Homeless Shelter and Prevention Program and the Samaritan Center”, states Lindsay Winters, Director of Development. “Every child deserves a cuddly toy and we are very proud of these youth for being so giving!”

Catholic Charities Emergency Service Programs (Second Place East and the Samaritan Center) provide shelter to the homeless, food for the hungry and opportunities to end the vulnerabilities that prevent people from living dignified lives. For more information about the Catholic Charities or our programs please contact, Lindsay Winters at 734-9784 or visit www.ccchemung.org.
