Pathways, Inc. Employees Receive Childcare Credential

Julie Dickson, support teacher, and Victoria Kearns, teacher aide, at the Pathways, Inc. Erwin Child & Family Center have each been awarded a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential in recognition of their outstanding work with young children. The credential is awarded by the Council for Professional Recognition in Washington, D.C., which represents the early childhood profession. Julie has been employed at the Erwin Child & Family Center since February 2007 and Victoria has been employed at the Center since January 2005.

Every candidate for the CDA credential is observed working with young children or families by an early childhood professional and must demonstrate the ability to work with families to develop children’s physical and intellectual capabilities in a safe and healthy learning environment.
